It’s about making strange, mysterious, and complicated things become things we understand. There’s still lots more that we don’t understand about our world and the whole universe, but that’s where scientists come in. They are always asking questions and then finding the answers. So science isn’t really strange at all! It’s just curious people finding out about everything!
Science may seem like it’s a strange thing — complicated, even a mystery. But really, science is all about finding out about nature and how things work, the reasons behind every-day things. So it’s more about questions and answers than anything. How? Where? Why?

Well I think science is a couple different things. The first thing is nature and life. I think that because all the different organisms and animals. The second thing is science is when you learn new and interesting things. For example, over all the years we learned all of these vocab words! So that is what I think science is.

This reminds me of Alexander Graham Bell because he failed so many times but kept asking questions and completed his invention. Asking questions is not a bad thing. If you don't ask questions you can't figure out the answer. When I am having trouble with something I ask questions. To be a scientist you have to be curious and when you're curious you ask questions.

I think that this is a great example because in my opinion, the telephone was one of the greatest and hardest inventions to make.

Hi Auston. I liked how you included that it is ok to ask questions. Alexander Graham Bell always asked questions and failed many times! Failure should not stop you from going on and succeeding.

It is an awesome idea to ask question because if you don't ask question you won't get what you are trying to learn.

I agree. The telephone is really an amazing invention when you think about it, and it was very hard to make. But Alexander kept at it and helped communicate to this day.

Auston- Did you know that the telephone number used to only be one to three digits long. Isn't that crazy?

I think this is a great example because Alexander Graham Bell started on a machine that was a harmonic telegraph but was distracted during his experiment on sending voices through wire instead of signals, He questioned why this happened so he started testing it but his bosses were angry but he wowed them with his experiment so nothing stopped Bell from his invention even though it was questioned by 2 very important people in his life.

I agree. Science is about making mistake and learning from them. This reminds me of Walt Disney he was fired by a newspaper editor because, "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." After that, Disney started a number of businesses that didn't last too long and ended with bankruptcy and failure. He kept plugging along, however, and eventually found a recipe for success that worked. Asking questions are never wrong, it´s great to ask questions. That's what science is.

I agree. Walt Disney was rejected by many jobs, he struggled through life, but he eventually succeeded. When he died, he left the entire Disney franchise. Which is a huge thing. That means, if you want something in life, keep believing in yourself and you will get it. 9/15/2016 07:28:51 pm
Walt Disney is a great example of someone that never gave up and continued asking questions, that is how he succeeded. That is what Science is all about.

I agree Walt Disney didn't have good success in a lot of businesses but he wouldn't give up and now had made one of the best businesses ever and that is all about science.

I agree. Walt Disney had really bad luck. He kept on going though, and soon, made things that are now famous.

This reminds me of Alexander Fleming because he asked himself what was causing infections and how can we kill the harmful bacteria and he came up with antibiotics. Scientists are always asking questions about diseases and finding new medicines or cures.

This reminds me of Albert Einstein. He asked so many questions and persevered through hard times. And he discovered the theory of relativity, which a huge discovery in science. Many scientists ask questions, and they later succeed. It is very helpful to ask questions, that's one of the main parts of science.

This reminds me of Galileo Galilei because, everybody said that that the earth was the only thing and there was no space, but that didn't stop him from discovering new things about earth and space and he discovered the universe did not circle the earth.

Hi Omar - Galileo did ask a bunch of questions and tried to make things easier for people to understand. He spent a lot of time trying to show many people that the Sun was really the center of the universe, not the Earth. As a matter of fact, he went to prison for 6 years before he was forced to change his mind. Talk about someone really believing in science.

This reminds me of Aristotle because everyone kept saying that the Earth was flat, but he kept trying to prove them wrong. Then, one day, on a lunar eclipse, he saw the spherical shadow of the Earth reflecting on the Moon. This shows that if you never give up, you will get what you want.

This reminds me of Max Planck because he loved to solve mysteries because he knows that he is one part of the mystery. All Max Planck's mysteries that got solved and with the hard questions and hard work helped him win the Nobel Prize for physics. What Max Planck did makes more people in the world try to solve mysteries and hard questions. It makes them smarter and maybe they can be him one day.
